The idea with this toy is you use it to tap the screen inside the Angry Birds game, this has the effect of changing the game mode, there are a few modes available:
- King Pig - the birds turn into pigs and the pigs turn into eggs
- Material Mix-Up! - the game will switch some materials in the game
- Bird Frenzy! - you will have unlimited birds
- Total Destruction! - you have to complete the level by tapping it to cause small explosions
Certainly a fun addition to the original game, but since it fails to work on the iPad mini, is a complete waste.
Now I did try out the King Pig on an iPad 2, and that works! You just tap the pig on the screen, which brings up a different game mode.
After tapping again, it's possible to switch to a different game mode. I hope this is fixed on the mini soon.
