A quick look at the Nyko Super MiniBoss wireless controllers for the SNES mini
I've been waiting for the Nyko Super MiniBoss controllers to be released for quite some time now. They were meant to be my Christmas present but for one reason or another their release date was pushed back time after time and I only received them a few days ago. This is a quick look at the controllers and my initial thoughts on them.

How to run Atari Lynx games on the SNES Classic Mini
This week has been abuzz with news that the SNES Classic Mini has been "hacked" to allow you to add more SNES/NES games to it. There were even articles on how to install RetroArch on the mini console which would allow you to run games from other popular retro consoles. That got my attention, but because the games that I was interested in having on my SNES mini were from a retro console that was not so popular, I could not find any clear steps on how to do it. So a challenge was accepted!

Australian release SNES mini classic unboxing and a quick play through
The SNES mini classic was finally released today and we went to pick up our two this morning. One to play with, one to keep on display! This is an unboxing and a quick play through of the system. Not going into too much detail, just my first thoughts.

Converting a SNES controller to connect to a NES controller port
When I built my Raspberry Pi NES emulator box, I used the original NES case, so that meant the controllers were plugged into the NES controller ports. At the time this was fine, but it also meant that I could not play SNES games.

Raspberry Pi is a great project computer, it's cheap ($35), runs Linux (or Risc OS) and has lots of resources available aroudn it.
